Here in Arlington we're saving up for our trip to London, so Vegas will only happen if a schweet deal shows up in my spam-box. "Tubin'" only requires investment in a short car trip and perhaps a room at the Histroic Hilltop House, so we can certainly RSVP in the positive there; that weekend also marks the midway point in my thirties, hence the appropriateness of "Boozin'".

A great crank has gone to his reward.
Two years ago, when he received the National Humanities Medal, I had the chance to talk with him for a short while. Though wheelchair bound, he insisted that he would stand to receive the medal from the president, as long as there was a fellow Marine to help him rise (see below--look for the close cropped head behind the First Lady).
